Concord & 9th—Winter Wonderland Christmas Card
Happy Friday, Crafters!
Today I’ve got such a cute card to share! I love this card, and I love the stamp and die bundle I used on it too. The Winter Wonderland bundle from Concord & 9th might just be one of my favorites of the holiday season, and I’ll probably be making at least one more card with it.
I started this card off by stamping the ‘walking in a winter wonderland’ stamp in Sea Glass ink. I lined up and stamped the ‘winter wonderland’ with Cranberry ink since I love the combination of these two colors together. Since Sea Glass and Clover go so well together, I stamped the evergreen trees in that ink. And let me tell you, Concord & 9th is so smart with how they designed the tree stamps to create a snowy treetop with white space! To finish off the stamping of the snow globe, I stamped the candy canes in the nice, bright, Poppy ink—the perfect color for candy canes. I die cut the snow globe with the coordinating circle die, then die cut the base of it out of Stardust. Stardust plays really well with the other colors in the snow globe, and I love how this turned out.
Once I had the snow globe ready to slap on a card front, I worked on my background panel. I had recently purchased the Snowflake Turnabout stamp during the C9 Turnabout sale last week and it might be one of my favorite winter ones! I stamped one turn of this Turnabout in Sea Glass ink on a 6x6 panel so I could decide where I wanted to cut my A2 panel out of. Once I had my panel and I laid the snow globe on it, I decided I wanted to add a pair of snowmen to the scene.
I die cut the snowmen out of C9 white glitter paper so they would stand out enough from the background, and glued a black shadown behind them. The noses and arms were die cut out of Marmalade and Wheat cardstocks, and the hats and scarves were die cut out of Sea Glass and Clover to tie back to the snow globe scene.
At this point, I decided to add a couple more snowflakes to the panel to fill a little bit of the empty space more, as well as lining up the snowflake in the middle of the Turnabout and stamping it. I glued the snow globe to the card front and popped the snowmen partially up on foam squares and staggered their position. I decided I wanted a little something more to the background panel, so I used the intricate snowflake die and the tiny snowflakes die from the Winter Wonderland die set and die cut them out of C9 matte silver cardstock. I love the cool vibe these snowflakes add to the card, as well as how they fill in space.
So that wraps up this card! It came together fairly quickly, and I love how it turned out. There’s something about snow globes that I just love, so I can’t wait to make more cards with this bundle. As always, thanks for stopping by today, and I hope to catch you next time with more inspiration! 😊
