Concord & 9th—Good Vibes Turnabout Stamp 3 Ways

Happy Friday, crafters!

Today I’m sharing three cards I made using the Good Vibes Turnabout stamp that Concord & 9th released a couple of months back. This background is really versatile and can be used for a variety of occasions, which is what I chose to do with it for this blog post. I really like Turnabout stamps— they take a lot of the thought out of making a background, all you have to do is pick colors! As always, if you want to get into the world of Turnabouts but don’t know how to use them, Concord & 9th has great resources linked here.

This card is so cheerful and fun! When I was planning it out, I knew I wanted bright colors to make it either a birthday card or a celebration card, and that I wanted to use the new Triangle Confetti Dies that were released in July. I started off stamping Sprout, Honeysuckle, Aqua Sky, and Marmalade and cut my 6x6 panel down to A2 size. When I use Turnabout stamps, I like to stamp it as a 6x6 so I can pick certain parts of the finished pattern if I like them more than others. I die cut the circle from the Triangle Confetti die set out of Sprout cardstock, then cut the ‘hooray!’ die out of the middle of it so I could inlay different colored letters. I die cut the ‘hooray!’ out of each color used in the Turnabout stamp and figured out my color arrangement. I ended up using a small sub greeting from the Celebrations Turnabout stamp, white heat embossed it on black cardstock, and die cut it using the sentiment die from the Triangle Confetti die set. To finish the card off, I die cut the confetti die and the yay die out of gold cardstock and placed them around the card.

I love the color palette on this card! It’s actually the same color palette I used on one of my Triple Step Hi cards, and it’s perfect for a baby card! I started off stamping the Turnabout stamp in Sea Glass, Ballet Slipper, Evergreen, and Grapefruit, and cut the panel down to size. From the extra stamps in the Turnabout stamp set, I stamped and heat embossed the ‘cutest baby ever’ greeting on a small square die cut and stamped a Grapefruit open heart that was also from the stamp set. I die cut the smallest square from the Stitched Scallop Square die set from Pinkfresh Studio and glued the frame over the square I stamped on. Then I mounted this on a Grapefruit square I die cut using the medium sized square from the Fluted Classics Squares die set from Spellbinders. I love the layering of the scallop frame and the details on the fluted panel. To finish the card off, I die cut the confetti die from the Triangle Confetti die set out of gold cardstock and placed them around the panel to fill in some white space.

Lastly, I have this bright, happy card! For this card, I stamped the Turnabout in Sprout, Honeysuckle, Oceanside and Eggplant and cut the panel down to A2 size. I decided for this card to use the coordinating dies to the Turnabout Stamp, so I die cut the shadow layer out of white, the ‘good only’ layer out of Oceanside, and the ‘vibes’ out of Sprout. Looking at this on my panel, I decided to cut the right and left side down by 1/4 inch and to mount it on Oceanside cardstock so that it would bring more color into the card. I glued down the main word die greeting and decided I wanted to add a sub greeting to the card, so I white heat embossed the ‘it’s your day’ stamp from the Birthday Scoops stamp set on Eggplant cardstock and die cut it out using the coordinating sentiment die. To finish the card off, I went back to the confetti die from the Triangle Confetti die set and cut it out of holographic cardstock to add a bit of shine to the card and to fill in some gaps.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it inspires you to break out your Turnabout stamps and see how many different types of cards you can make with them. Have a great weekend, and I hope to catch you next week!
